Cistern System for RainWise Rebate Program

Seattle RainWise Rebate Tanks

After contacting us through the Seattle RainWise Program the clients were looking to maximize both their rebate and their rain water storage capacity. A number of challenges with slope and setback requirements led to the final design of an arbor aqueduct that would convey the rainwater off two structures into two 420 gal tanks. The tanks needed to be set at the highest point on their property to have enough slope to overflow with gravity to the alley right of way. Cedar was used for the arbor build for its natural rot resistant as aesthetic value. We chard the bottom 30 inches to increase their longevity. Decorative brackets were used to support the 2x6 cedar boards with 2x2’s installed on top for vining plants.
